The CPVAA Board
President - Rod Barton
Rod has been involved in the Taxi, Limousine and Hire Car Industry for over 20 years.
He has represented other hire vehicle owners in various Government and business forums including the Fels Taxi and Hire Car inquiry; and the Productivity Commissions' review on Airport services. His desire to assist with the development of a more effectively operated hire vehicle industry has ensured he is a regular contributor to industry related hearings.
Vice President - Andre Baruch
Andre's background includes small business experience across a range of industries allowing him insights into good and poor business practices. His knowledge of the Hire Car Industry is extensive and he is able to support the association with information on best practice.
Pending a replacement, Andre is also caretaking the roles of Treasurer and Compliance.
Secretary - Brian Cunningham
Brian has experienced a number of roles within the Taxi/Hire car industry for over 40 years. As a result he has witnessed many changes that have impacted upon operators and understands those ramifications.
Accordingly, his vast experience is an invaluable asset to the VHCA.
Board Member - Toni Peters
Toni has lived and breathed the Taxi and Hire Car industry for over 27 years. Toni is the editor of Drive A2B (formerly Taxi Talk) Magazine - reporting monthly on news surrounding the Victorian point-to-point transport industry. She says "This industry is on the brink of a new era and I am pleased to be associated with it."
Board Member - Kim Guest
With over 30 years experience in the Taxi/Hire car industry including his own successful business, Kim adds another dimension to the Board.
Widely respected as an industry mentor, he has already assisted many newcomers to the hire car industry and is passionate about the sustainability of the sector in an ongoing capacity.
Board Member - Michael Eren
Michael has worked in the hire car industry since 2002, and is second-generation to a large chauffeur car business which services clients across Australia. Holding degrees in commerce and law, Michael has utilised his knowledge in these areas along with commercial, technical and management skills to further grow the family business.
Michael also has experience with driver training and has assisted with many individuals seeking to work in the hire car industry.
CPVAA membership is open to those who work in, or otherwise have an interest in the Victorian Hire Car industry.
This includes over 2700 hire vehicle licence holders; the thousands of drivers who operate these vehicles; and those with an associated financial or family interest.
The CPVAA exists to promote YOUR industry, protect YOUR investment in licence(s) and protect the ongoing viability of YOUR jobs.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BECOME A MEMBER?
Membership fees are only $120.00 per year - that's just $10.00 per month!
CPVAA Membership Fees are paid annually and are GST INCLUSIVE.
